Just a little more news from England:
The line-up for the Burnley Blues Festival, scheduled for the Easter weekend in 2008, has been announced and includes Duke Robillard, Little Willie Littlefield, Angela Brown, Boo Boo Davis, Michael Roach with Johnny Mars, and Angela Brown, with more to be confirmed.
The young hip-hop/ blues band NuBlues has reformed with its original line-up and will be touring and recording in 2008.
In mid-November the Sixties veterans The Pretty Things played in London on a bill that also included The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown.
A new club called MoHo Live has opened in Manchester, with the very popular and vastly experienced local R&B/ soul band Atlanta Soul playing at the opening night.
A double Robert Cray CD is to be released in January 2008. ‘Live At the BBC’ (Universal Music 5303338) features 14 tracks recorded in either 1988 or 1991 for the BBC, recorded to promote the extremely popular and ground-breaking albums ‘Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark’ and ‘Midnight Stroll’.
